Getting started
Job Tracker keeps track of the jobs you’re interested in, from the moment you save one to the offer, along with your interviews, and tells you what needs doing next.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”Open your instance’s address and choose Sign in. You sign in with Google, and Google asks which account to use, so you can pick the right one if you have several.
Only the email addresses the instance’s owner has allowed can sign in (see Configuration). If yours isn’t on the list, you’ll see a page explaining that, with a button to try a different Google account.
Once you’re signed in, the address takes you straight to your dashboard. You stay signed in on that browser until you sign out, or for up to 14 days without using it (90 days at most, however much you use it).
Finding your way around
Section titled “Finding your way around”The header links to the three main pages:
- Dashboard: counts, the jobs that need attention, and your next interviews.
- Jobs: every job, with filters, search and sorting.
- Interviews: every interview, upcoming first.
New job adds a job, and Log out signs you out. On a phone, the links and Log out are under ☰ Menu.
Installing it on your phone
Section titled “Installing it on your phone”Job Tracker can be installed on your home screen like an app. It opens straight to your dashboard, without the browser’s address bar.
- Android (Chrome): open the site, then ⋮ → Add to home screen.
- iPhone or iPad (Safari): open the site, then Share → Add to Home Screen.
Time zones
Section titled “Time zones”Dates and times are shown in your browser’s time zone, and “days since” counts use your own calendar days. Your time zone is picked up from your browser automatically.
